Chottangada Ricky Somanna (59), son of late Chottangada Nanjappa and a resident of J.P. Nagar, passed away following brief illness at a private hospital in city this morning.

A native of Birunani in Kodagu, he leaves behind his mother Chottangada Parvathy (Udiyanda), brother Robin Thimmaiah and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were held at the foot of Chamundi Hill this afternoon.
