The Carmel Catholic Association, Mysuru, is organising an online Carol Singing competition in connection with Christmas-2021.  The contest will be held under the following categories: Group 1: Students from Class 6 to 12:  Category 1 – English;  Category 2 – Kannada and other Regional Languages.

Group 2: Churches / Convents / Colleges / Religious Institutions such as Christian Colleges of Philosophy & Theology, Seminaries and Formation Houses etc., where students and aspirants can participate. Category 1 – English;  Category 2 – Kannada and other Regional Languages.

Team Strength: A team can have minimum 5 members and maximum 20 members;  Time : Maximum 5 minutes;  Theme : Theme of the competition songs shall be “Christmas Carols” only. 

Language: The songs can be sung in English, Hindi and other South Indian languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Konkani. Kannada is the main Regional Language; Musical Instruments: Key Board and other musical instruments can be used.  An individual can only compete in one team. The 1st prize winner will get Rs.3,000; 2nd prize – Rs.2,000 and 3rd prize – Rs.1,000.

There will be an expert panel of three judges and their decision shall be final. Video editing is not allowed and the video being sent should not have been previously published.  Last date for registration is Dec. 5 at 10 pm; Last date for sending video is Dec. 15 at 10 pm.
