Mysuru: The following young MMA athletes of the Academy of Martial Science (AMS), Mysuru, won medals by representing the State at the Telangana Open MMA Championship 2025 held at Hyderabad recently:

G.L. Sihaan – Youth D2 (26 kg div.) – Silver Medal; R. Namrata – Female Youth B (61.2 kg div.) – Silver; Afza – Female Youth B (52.1 kg div.) – Gold; Ayan Ali – Male Youth C (42 kg div.) – Silver; J. Ashwin – Male Youth A (70 kg div.) – Gold.

The event, sanctioned by MMA India National Federation and hosted by Telangana Association of Mixed Martial Arts (TAMMA), played host to more than 200 youth, junior and senior athletes from across the country. Team Karnataka, with a total medal tally of 16, emerged as one of the most successful teams at the event.

Team AMS is trained by IMMAF certified (International Mixed Martial Arts Federation) MMA coaches Kiran, Kavyashree, Samarth Vikram and mentored by Kru. Vikram, who is the Founder-Director of AMS, Team India Coach and IMMAF Youth Commission Chairman.
