CM to decide over Seventh Pay Commission recommendations

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, has been vested with power to decide over the implementation of recommendations of Seventh Pay Commission.

This was resolved after discussions, during the Cabinet meeting chaired by CM Siddaramaiah at Vidhana Soudha here yesterday.

Following the meeting, the long pending demand of State Government employees is expected to be a reality anytime. During the meeting, some of the Ministers have reportedly advised the CM, to hike the basic pay by 25 percent, in compliance with the recommendations of Seventh Pay Commission. While the CM is keen on hiking the basic pay by 27 percent, it is said.

The State Government is expected to issue a notification in this regard soon.
