COVID Warrior dies of Coronavirus

Mysore/Mysuru: A Government Ayurveda doctor, who had served as a Corona Warrior by treating COVID positive patients, has died of COVID just two days after his retirement. He was 60.

The doctor, a resident of Udayagiri in city, had served as the District AYUSH Officer at Chamarajanagar and had retired from service on July 31. 

As the doctor developed COVID symptoms, swab test was conducted on him on July 21. A diabetic, the lab report of the doctor confirmed him to be positive for COVID on July 26 and was admitted to the COVID Hospital in city where he spent the day of his retirement on July 31. He passed away the following day.

The doctor used to travel from Mysuru to Chamarajanagar in a bus where he was involved in COVID related treatment and was also conducting awareness on consumption of Ayurveda medicine to prevent the spread of the deadly virus.
