Cricketer Veda Krishnamurthy adopts leopard

Indian woman cricketer Veda Krishnamurthy adopted a leopard at Mysuru Zoo, here yesterday. Veda donated Rs. 35,000 to adopt Bhavana, a female leopard, for a period of one year.

Veda, who is the brand ambassador of KPL franchise Belagavi Panthers, has been staying in Mysuru cheering the team in the ongoing tournament. She will be inaugurating this year’s Dasara Sports to be held on Sept. 21 at the Chamundi Vihar Stadium.

She was handed over a certificate for adopting the leopard  by Mysuru Zoo Executive Officer C. Ravishankar.
