Pailwan Swathi Patil ‘Dasara Kishori’, Pailwan Sanjeeva Koravara ‘Dasara Kishora’, Pailwan Manjunath ‘Dasara Kesari’, Pailwan Kamesh Patil ‘Dasara Kanteerava’

Mysuru:This year’s Dasara Wrestling Tournament came to a close with Pailwan Swathi Patil of Belagavi winning the ‘Dasara Kishori’ title at Devaraja Urs Multipurpose Stadium located at the Dasara Exhibition Grounds in Doddakere Maidan in city yesterday.

In the final bout held for the ‘Mysuru Dasara Kumara’ title, Mysuru’s Pailwan Chethan and Pailwan Chethan Gowda were involved in an intense wrestling which went on for about 30 minutes & ended with Pailwan Chethan of University of Mysore winning the title with a margin of 19 points. The ‘Dasara Kishora’ title was won by Davanagere’s Sanjeeva Koravara 12-0 defeating Bagalkot’s Kuamra Nagalooru.

The ‘Dasara Kesari’ title was won by Uttara Kannada’s Manjunath 4-0 defeating Paramananda of Belagavi. The ‘Dasara Bala Kishora’ award was won by R. Prajwal of Davanagere defeating Pradeep of Belagavi 5-0. ‘Dasara Bala Kumara’ award was won by Chethan of Dharwad defeating Muthuraj by 11-4. ‘Dasara Bala Kesari’ award was won by Arjun Koravara defeating Sathyaraj 8-4.

The final bout for ‘Dasara Bala Kanteerava’ title witnessed the match between Hanumantha Bevinamatti and Suresh Murari Langoti tied with six points each. However, Murari was able to overcome Hanmunantha  to win the title.

The final bout for ‘Dasara Kanteerava’ title witnessed Kamesh Patil of Belagavi defeating Kiran of Bhadravati 2-1 to win the title and in the ‘Mysuru Dasara Kishori’ title bout Swathi Patil of Belagavi defeated Haliyal’s Pratheeksha 6-2 to win the title.
