Bengaluru: The Department of Public Instruction has, in a press release, warned private aided schools of strict legal action if they appoint teachers without minimum eligible qualification. The warning has come when incidents of such schools appointing teachers without minimum qualification for a lower salary have come to light.
The Department is determined to take steps to terminate the services of such teachers. Those teachers who have been employed at Government and private aided schools should register compulsorily with National Institution of Open School before Sept. 15. Professional training is mandatory with D.Ed or B.Ed qualification for teachers.
However, in the context of an increase in the number of untrained teachers, the decision to make training compulsory has been taken in the interest of students, stated the press release.
