Damaged city roads not restored

September 12, 2021

Sir,

Mysuru city holds the distinction of being one of the earliest well-planned cities in India. But unfortunately, it is appalling to see the present sorry state of roads in Namma Mysuru.

Here I would like to bring to the notice of the civic authorities regarding one particular aspect of non-restoration or non-filling of the road cuttings done for the installation of water lines for new constructions.

Even though the authorities obtain road cutting charges from the construction party, the road cuttings remain unfilled for a long time resulting in a kind of “reverse hump or speed breaker”!

This in turn causes a lot of traffic nuisance and vehicular damage. I urge the responsible authorities to take note of the same and kindly do their duty.
