It has come to light that the defunct traffic signals in and around Mysuru may not be repaired or serviced in the near future, as the outstanding payments to the service provider maintaining the signals are mounting. Owing to defunct traffic signal lights, we  can now  notice chaotic traffic at every intersection. 

Given this situation, it is imperative that the relevant authorities step in to assist road users by deploying Traffic Police at busy junctions. It is concerning to note the absence of Police personnel at these critical intersections where traffic signals are malfunctioning.

With so many traffic signals currently out of order, it is crucial for senior officers to instruct their subordinates to post cops  at key intersections to manage traffic flow and assist pedestrians.

  It is high time the authorities reassess their approach to Police force deployment, ensuring that the safety of road users is prioritised.
