July 3, 2019

Mysuru: July 3 (MTY&SD)- National Doctors’ Day was celebrated at DRM Multi-speciality Hospital in Vontikoppal also where doctors were honoured and given bouquets in the Hospital premises.

Speaking on the occasion, Director of DRM Multi-speciality Hospital Dr. B.H. Manjunath said, ‘Doctors Day is celebrated on July 1 across India to honour and remember Physician and second Chief Minister of West Bengal, Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy. He is a role model for all the doctors. Dr. Roy excelled in both medical profession and politics with his selfless service. Doctors should work towards this ideal.”

Another Director of the Hospital D.T. Prakash said, “younger generation should stop aping western culture. Health is wealth and one can only achieve something if he is in good health. There are many references in Ayurveda about stilling the mind and maintaining good health. Yoga, dhyana, homa-havana, music and regular morning walks help in endurance and better health. Senior citizens should be wary about nuances of their health condition and should go for regular health check-ups to prevent further complications. We all give importance to health insurance but are least bothered about environmental protection.”
