Drawing competition for children on I-Day at Rail Museum

Mysore/Mysuru: Coinciding with the Independence Day celebrations, Mysuru Rail Museum will be organising an open drawing competition for children in the age group of 5-10 years on Aug. 15 in the Museum premises. 

Entries may be submitted to P. Vijayakumar, Sr.Section Engineer on Mob: 9731667411 or 9739366668 by 5 pm on Aug. 14. All participants will get a complimentary gift from the museum. 

The duration of the competition will be from 11 am to 1 pm. There will be no entry fee. Drawing sheets will be supplied by the organisers of the event while children have to carry their own Hard Board, water colours, crayons and pencil colours.

Theme of the drawing/painting shall be related to “Trains/Train Travel” or any inspiration theme from Railway Museum.

Social distancing norms will be enforced and thermal screening will be done by museum authorities at entry point. Parents must ensure mask protocol for participating wards. Entry is free for the participant; accompanying guardian should purchase entry tickets to prevent overcrowding.

A select panel from the Railways will evaluate the drawing. The results will be declared and prizes will be distributed on the same day. The best three will receive prizes and certificates.  The art work made by the children will remain in the Museum as display for a fortnight upto 31.8.2020, according to Priya Shetty, Divisional Commercial Manager and PRO, South Western Railway, Mysore Division.
