Sir,
On a visit to Mysore Palace I was shocked to see the quantum of waste littered in front of the Ganapathy Temple, Anjaneyaswamy Temple and around the parking lot.
I could find only two dustbins on some obscure locations, for such a large area. The Palace being one of the major tourist attractions of Mysuru, we cannot expect all the tourists to be environment-friendly and aware of cleanliness and hygiene to be maintained in public places.
MCC authorities can take some positive steps by placing more number of visible dustbins with boards requesting the tourists not to litter but to use the dustbins. MCC should ensure that the dustbins do not overflow causing stench and inconvenience to the tourists.

Sir,
More and more scientifically designed and distinctly colored waste bins are required to be available to residents all around the city, for segregation at source and for frequent removal. I hope the City Fathers will take prompt initiatives, to dispose of garbage.
