More than 8,000 sportspersons from different districts of State to take part in 4-day event

Mysore/Mysuru: Deputy Chief Minister (Dy.CM) D.K. Shivakumar will inaugurate the Pratibhanveshane Dasara CM Cup-2023, a sporting competitions event, to be held at Chamundi Vihar Indoor Stadium in the city this evening. The competitions will be held from today till Oct.14.

Preparations are underway for the inaugural function at 4.30 pm with a colourful stage and LED sets installed in the stadium.  Minister for Youth Empowerment and Sports B. Nagendra will also participate in the inaugural function.

More than 8,000 sportspersons from different districts of the State, who have been selected to participate in this Dasara CM Cup following their per-formance at Taluk and District-levels, will participate in the Prati-bhanveshane Cup.  Competitions like Running Race, Long Jump, Hockey, Boxing and others will be held till Oct. 14.

Free food and accommodation have been arranged for the participants apart from giving them conveyance facility within the city. Sportsmen selected in this event will get a chance to represent the State at the National-level.
