Education Dept. issues order mandating linking of Ration Card with school admission

Mysore/Mysuru: Adding one more dimension to school admission, the State Government has ordered linking of Ration Card of students during new school admissions mandatory.

The Education Department Commissioner, in an order issued on Apr. 12, has directed the Department officials to demand submission of Ration Card from parents of students who are getting newly admitted in schools.

The Department has made necessary changes in the SATS (Student Achievement Tracking System) software for incorporating the Ration Card number of the student who is getting admitted.

The changes in the software has come into effect for new admissions during the 2021-22 academic year.
