Elderly cyclist killed in bike accident

Mysore/Mysuru: A senior citizen, who was riding a bicycle, was killed on the spot when a bike hit the bicycle near Srinivasa Circle on Manandavadi Road yesterday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Gangadhar (76), a resident of Ashokapuram in city.

Yesterday at about 6.45 am,  Gangadhar was proceeding on his bicycle from Ashokapuram towards Srinivasa Circle when a speeding Royal Enfield bike (KA-09-JK-5737), ridden by one Waseem Ahmed, which came from H.D. Kote side, hit the bicycle. While Gangadhar died on the spot, bike rider Waseem sustained minor injuries.

K.R. Traffic Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
