Elderly woman’s gold chain snatched in city

Mysore/Mysuru: Bike-borne miscreants have snatched a gold chain of a retired District Treasury employee at T.K. Layout on Sept. 1.

The woman, who lost her gold chain, is 65-year-old P.K. Savithri, a resident of Paduvana Road in Kuvempunagar.

Savithri, along with her husband, was proceeding near the BSNL Office on the 13th Cross in T.K. Layout at about 9 pm on Sept. 1, when two miscreants, who came on a black coloured bike from behind, yanked off her 60 grams gold mangalya chain and sped away. A case has been registered at Saraswathipuram Police Station in this regard.
