Nanjangud: Suresh has been elected as the President of Nanjangud Bar Association at the election held recently.

There are a total of 141 members in the Association and Suresh and Shanmukha had contested for the President’s post. Suresh bagged 83 votes while Shanmukha polled 50 votes.

Others, who were elected as the office-bearers of the Association are: Sohan Kumar – Vice-President; R. Renuka Prasad – General Secretary and R. Sunil Kumar – Joint Secretary.

While two votes were rejected in the President’s election, one vote was rejected in the Vice-President’s election. Basavattige Kumar was the Election Officer and Tarakaraman was the Assistant Election Officer.
