N. Channappa, 8th semester student of Civil Engineering, was elected as the Vice-President of JSS Science and Technology (JSS S&T) University at the election held  here recently.

Channappa is the son of H.S. Nanjundaprasad, younger brother of former Minister late H.S. Mahadevaprasad.

The other newly-elected Student Council members are as follows:

General Secretary: H.R. Monish, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, 8th sem.

Cultural Secretary: Bhuvan Gowda, Environmental Engineering, 8th sem.

Sports Secretary: R. Rajath, Environmental Engineering, 6th sem.

Student Welfare Secretary: M. Chandan, MTech (M&E), 2nd sem.

Academic Secretary: Chirag Angadi, Mechanical Engineering, 4th sem.
