Applications have been invited from eligible students for admission to sixth standard in Morarji Desai/ Dr. B.R. Ambedkar/ Indira Gandhi / Kittur Rani Chennamma/  Ekalavya Model/ Atal Behari Vajpayee Residential Schools in the district working under Karnataka Residential Educational Institutions Society.

Admissions will be done through an entrance exam and is open for students from all categories — General, SC/ST, Category-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B. The annual income of the family of candidates belonging to SC, ST and Category-1 should not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakh while for those belonging to backward classes, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B should not exceed Rs. 1 lakh.

There will be 5 percent reservation in seats for children of Safaikarmacharis.

Applications can be submitted by logging on to https://kreis.karnataka.gov.in/ from Jan. 5 to Jan. 22.  Entrance exam will be held from 11 am to 1 pm on Mar. 12 and hall tickets can be downloaded from Feb. 12.
