Entries invited from scribes for PII-ICRC Annual Awards

Mysuru:  The Press Institute of India (PII) and International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) have organised a competition for the best three articles and best three photographs on a humanitarian subject — 12th edition of PII-ICRC Annual Awards — and has invited entries from scribes for the same. For the first time, this year, entries are invited from Bhutan, Nepal and Maldives as well.

The theme for this year is Changing Lives Through Innovation In Health And Sanitation. The top three prizes in each category — Article and Photographs — are Rs.1,00,000 (1st prize), Rs.70,000 (2nd) and Rs.40,000 (3rd).

The article/photo should have been published in a National or Regional Newspaper or Magazine in India, Nepal, Bhutan or the Maldives between April 1, 2017 and March 31, 2018.

An exact English translation is mandatory for all articles printed in regional languages. Only one entry per individual is permitted in either category. Participants will have to submit proof of their entries in the respective newspaper or magazine.

Family members/relatives of the jury and organisers are not eligible for participation.

Results will be announced in September 2018.
