Sir,
Come March, students are tense either with preparation for their examination or with the outcome of their performance. In many cases, we, as elders, compare our children with others to perform better. In the process, we are sowing hatred in their tender mind. We fail to understand that each child is unique and hence unable to identify the depth and impact of created tension within the child.
Sometimes, the child is forced to take extreme steps fearing punishment from elders. For them this is the best solution in life fearing harsh punishment from elders. We have read sufficient news items all these years on this issue.
Instead of creating tension in their minds, let us motivate the child by monitoring his/ her preparation by encouraging them to perform better. Examination is a stage to assess academic standard only and that is not everything in life.
