Farmer ends life

A 32-year-old farmer from Hunsur taluk who was being treated at a city hospital after consuming pesticides at his residence yesterday, breathed his last in the hospital this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Mayigowda of Bolanahalli in Bilikere Hobli. Mayigowda, depressed over the failure of all borewells which he had dug at his farmland spending a huge amount of money, consumed pesticides at his residence, following which he was rushed to Mission Hospital, where he succumbed at 7 am this morning, it is learnt. Bilikere Police have registered a case in this regard.
