Mysore/Mysuru: By completing all verifications with respect to the claims of a policy holder’s nominee in seven days of submitting the application and handing over the cheque to policy holder’s nominee, the Postal Department has proved that it is offering fast and customer-friendly services to its customers.
Krishnamurthy (58), a mechanic in Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) who had obtained Postal Life Insurance (PLI) Policy for Rs. 5 lakh in 2018, died recently in an electric mishap. His wife Thenmali, who was the nominee submitted a claim application for the insured amount on July 11 at Mysuru City Main Post Office. After verifying all needed documents with regard to her claim in just 7 days, the Postal Department accepted her claim and the insured amount cheque of Rs. 6,29,211 was handed over Thenmali by Senior Postal Executive M.L. Naveen.
Mysuru Head Post Office PLI Centre Manager Y.R. Muralidhar, Savings Account Assistant Post Master Kshama Rao, Mysuru Postal Division Marketing Officer Dr. Suresh Kumar, Vishwanath and Gururaj were present on the occasion.
