Mysuru:  An accidental fire has reportedly reduced a petty shop to ashes near Srinivasa Theatre in Bannimantap here last night.

The public, who saw the petty shop on fire, informed Bannimantap Fire Brigade Station following which the fire personnel along with the fire extinguisher vehicle rushed to the spot and doused the fire. But the fire had completely destroyed the petty shop by then, it is learnt.

Meanwhile, the localities have suspected that some miscreants under the influence of alcohol may have set the shop on fire.

Mandi Police have registered a case in this regard.
