First swimmer from Mysuru to win medals in State Olympic Games

Mysuru: S. Thanya became the first swimmer from Mysuru to win medals in Karnataka State Olympic Games -2022 organised by the Department of Youth Empowerment & Sports (DYES) & Karnataka Olympic Association.

She represented Dolphin Aquatics in Karnataka II Mini Olympic Games-2022 held at Basavanagudi Aquatic Centre in Bengaluru on May 17 and 18.

She won a silver medals and a bronze medal in 200 m breast stroke (2:57.41) and 100 m breast stroke (1:22.42) respectively.

Thanya is a 8th std. student of Sri Sharada Public School, Mysuru. Daughter of S.P. Shadakshari and N. Shwetha, she is trained under Pavankumar of Global Sports Association, J.P. Nagar Swimming Pool, Mysuru.
