Mysuru: Mysuru Travels Association (MTA), in association with the Department of Tourism, KTF and Mysuru Hotel Owners Association will host ‘Mysore Travel Mart 18’ from Mar. 2 to 5 at J.K. Grounds in city.
The Mart intends to bring in business tycoons, hoteliers, travel agents, local businesses across the country related to tourism and travel industry under one roof to create a buzz about the industry and its demands. A series of well-planned and attractive programmes are in the offing to make this event more interesting.
The event will be inaugurated at 2 pm by Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Tourism K.J. Alphons, Karnataka Tourism Minister Priyank Kharge, MP Pratap Simha and MLA Vasu in the presence of former Minister S.A. Ramdas, Chairman and MD of Silent Shores and Resorts Dr. M. Jagannath Shenoi, Karnataka Pradesh Hotel and Restaurant Owners Association M. Rajendra, Mysore Travel Agents Association President B.S. Prashanth, Mysore Travel Mart Chairman C.A. Jayakumar and Mysuru Hotel Owners Association President C. Narayana Gowda.
The Mart will showcase around 85 exhibitors across the Country, targeting the business travellers, holiday makers, potential investors in the field of hospitality, leisure and travel industry. The leading exhibitors’ profiles include national tourism promotion boards, airlines, trade associations, financial institutions, travel agents, tour promoters, foreign exchange dealers and so on.
A luxurious ‘Ford Mustang’ owned by Ramesh Babu of Ramesh Tours and Travels of Bengaluru will be on display. Also, a photography competition titled ‘Capture the moment’ for the public will be held on all the three days.
First, second and third prizes will be awarded to the photographers who capture the best mood of the expo. One photograph per person should be submitted before 8 pm on Feb. 4. Performance by Mysore Police Band will be held on Mar. 2, concert by Praveen Godkhindi will be held on Mar. 3 and Beat Gurus Band will perform on Mar. 4 from 6.30 pm onwards.
A yoga session for the public, led by D. Srihari of GSS will be held on Mar. 4 at 6 am.
