Mysuru: Four achievers from different fields have been selected for the tenth  ‘Bhoomigiri Narayanappa Award-2025’, instituted jointly by Bhoomigiri Narayanappa Pratishtana, Alliance Club of Mysore Nalwadi and Gaana Nandana, Mysuru.

Those selected for the award are: Noted Historian Dr. Talakad Chikkarangegowda, International sportsperson M. Yogendra, Apeksha Manjunath of Bhadravathi, who is popularly known as Junior Vishnuvardhan and cine actor Risha Gowda.

The four personalities will be conferred the award at a programme to take place at District Kannada Sahitya Bhavan in Vijayanagar First Stage on Jan.14 at 10.30 am. The programme will also feature felicitation to achievers, calendar release and Savigaana-7, a Musical Nite.

MLC C.N. Manjegowda will inaugurate, while Karnataka Sugama Sangeetha Parishat President Nagaraj V. Bairy will preside. Senior  Journalist Amshi Prasanna Kumar will confer the award while veteran litterateur Dr. C.P. Krishnakumar (CPK) will release the calendar.

Karnataka State Government Employees Association Mysuru District President Dr. C.B. Arunkumar, Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce Zonal Board (Producers) Member  G.B. Siddegowda and Film Director-Producer Venkatesh will be felicitated.
