Fundraiser celebrates cow welfare at Pinjrapole

June 17, 2025

Mysuru: The Jeev Daya Jain Charity (JDJC) organised ‘Gomata ka Swamyvatsalya,’ a fundraising event for the Mysore Pinjrapole Society, last Sunday. The programme highlighted cow welfare through interactive activities and traditional rituals.

Member of the erstwhile Mysore Royal Family Trishikha Kumari Wadiyar, who was the chief guest and Savitha Nagbhushan, Managing Trustee of PFA, guest of honour, inaugurated the event by performing a symbolic sutra removal ceremony and conducting a sacred cow puja.

Attendees engaged in calf feeding and cow cuddling, with organisers educating the public on the therapeutic benefits of bonding with cows.

Trishikha Kumari Wadiyar further emphasised environmental consciousness by planting Kalpavriksha saplings at the Pinjrapole premises.

The resident cows were treated to a specially curated meal, including fresh vegetables, fruits, green grass and nutritious laddus from Jaipur.

These laddus, enriched with soybean, triphala, fenugreek, oats, sesame and essential minerals, ensured a balanced diet for the animals.

JDJC was represented by its founder, Kokila Ramesh Golecha, along with President Lakshmi Parlecha, Secretary Sapna Bandhmutha, Treasurer Pinky Vedmutha, Vice-President Uma Bafna and Vice-Secretary Anju Palrecha. The Mysore Pinjrapole Society’s representatives included President Sumatilalji Pagariya, Secretary Vinod Kabiya and other members.
