GTD escapes unhurt

Mysuru: In a minor mishap, Higher Education and District in-Charge Minister G.T. Devegowda (GTD) escaped unhurt when the car in which he was travelling involved in an accident near Columbia Asia Hospital in city this morning.

GTD, accompanied by his son G.D. Harish Gowda, PA Hanumesh and a gunman, was  on his way to Mandya when a lorry brushed the left side of his Innova car at the Columbia Asia Ring Road junction at around 9.30 am. Though the vehicle had  partially damaged none of the occupants of the car were hurt. Traffic was disrupted for some time and then the Police cleared it. GTD then got into another vehicle and proceeded to Malavalli to campaign for Mandya LS candidate Nikhil Kumaraswamy.
