Mysuru: Even as the Election Commission of India (ECI) is likely to announce the schedule for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls in a couple of days, speculations are doing the rounds that former JD(S) ZP member H.N. Vijaykumar has been named as the new MUDA Chairman.
The Chairman’s post has been vacant for the past one year after the tenure of Congress leader D. Dhruvakumar ended just before the May 2018 Assembly polls.
JD(S) leader H.N. Vijaykumar, a native of Haradanahalli in K.R. Nagar Taluk, is a close associate of Tourism Minister S.R. Mahesh, who represents K.R. Nagar Constituency in the State Assembly.

Meanwhile, city JD(S) leader Abdul Aziz (Abdulla) is also likely to made as the Chairman of Karnataka Exhibition Authority (KEA). Abdulla had unsuccessfully contested as the JD(S) candidate from N.R. Assembly segment in the May 2018 Assembly polls.
