Mysore/Mysuru: Burglars, who broke into a house in broad daylight, have decamped with gold ornaments worth about Rs. 1.45 lakh from the house.
The burglary took place on Dec. 9 in the house of Somashekar at AJ Block in NR Mohalla.
On Dec. 9 morning, Somashekar’s daughter, who works as a Junior Accountant at a vehicle showroom left for work. Later, her brother left for college after locking the door of the house.
When Somashekar returned at about 5 pm, he found the front door forcibly opened and on entering the house, he found the household items scattered in the house and informed about it to his daughter.
When Somashekar’s daughter came home and inspected the house, she found the almirah opened forcibly and a gold necklace, earrings and other gold ornaments worth about Rs. 1.45 lakh stolen.
Based on the complaint from Somashekar’s daughter, NR Police, who have registered a case are investigating.
