House burgled near Yelwal

Mysuru: Burglars, who broke into a house near Yelwal, have decamped with gold and cash from the house.

The burglary took place at the house of Sheelamani, located at Rajadhani-2 Layout in Ratnahalli village limits and the burglars have made away with a gold chain, earrings and other jewellery worth about Rs. 3.50 lakh and Rs. 500 cash.

Sheelamani’s husband serves in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at Karwar and she is residing with her two children in the house.

On Saturday, she went to her parents’ house in Hassan and the next day, her son called her and informed her about the door being broken.

Sheelamani, who rushed back, inspected the house only to find the gold jewellery and cash stolen and lodged a complaint at Yelwal Police Station.
