Mysuru: Depressed over husband deserting her, a housewife committed suicide by hanging self at her residence in Gandhinagar here on Tuesday Night.

The deceased has been identified as Nethra Asiya (24), wife of Asiya. Nethra, who had married Asiya about four years ago, had changed her name to  Nethra Asiya.

After two years of her marriage, Asiya is said to have deserted her resulting in Nethra going under depression and taking the extreme step on Tuesday night.

NR SI Shabeer Hussain, who has registered a case in this regard is investigating.
