Hunsur Regional Forest Division gets first woman DCF

Hunsur: The Forest Department has appointed a woman as the Deputy Conservator of Forests (DCF) of Hunsur Regional Forest Division. It is for the first time in 40 years that a woman officer has been appointed as the DCF here.

The lady officer, who is newly appointed, is P.A. Seema, a native of Kodagu, who was earlier serving as the Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) at Madikeri Forest Mobile Squad.

Seema, who took charge as the new DCF yesterday, was greeted by ACF Anitha, Range Forest Officers (RFOs) Nandakumar and Rathan.
