I was elected KRRS President at the organisation’s Executive Committee meeting: Badagalapura Nagendra

February 11, 2019

Mysuru: Maintaining that he was officially declared President of KRRS (Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha) and Hasiru Sene at the KRRS State Executive Committee Meeting held at Chitradurga recently, Badagalapura Nagendra has lashed out at Pachhe Nanjundaswamy accusing him of making self declarations concerning the KRRS.

Addressing a press meet at Jaladarshini Guest House here this morning, Nagendra alleged that JD(S) supremo H.D. Deve Gowda’s family may be behind the divisions in the KRRS, as the KRRS is the main political rival of the JD(S) in old Mysuru region.

Accusing Pachhe Nanjundaswamy of acting at the behest of forces that are out to finish off KRRS, Nagendra claimed that Pachhe was not even a KRRS member to expel him (Nagendra) from the farmer organisation.

Stating that Pachhe had never bothered to shoulder responsibility of the youth wing of the KRRS, Nagendra said that he was surprised when pachhe demanded the KRRS Vice-President’s post a couple of months ago.

Maintaining that Pachhe was then told that appointment to all posts would be as per the KRRS norms and regulation,  Nagendra alleged that a dejected Pachhe then joined hands with those who were trying to finish off the KRRS.

Referring to the allegation by Cheeranahalli Srinivas of Pachhe Nanjundaswamy faction who had accused him of receiving Rs. 3 crore as commission in Mandakalli land acquisition, Nagendra said that those who have made allegations against him were not KRRS members in the first place.

Asking his detractors not to make baseless allegations against him. Nagendra urged them to come up with records in support of their claims.

Farmer leaders Lokesh Raje Urs, Hosur Kumar, Hoskote Basavaraju, P. Marankaiah, Netravathi and others were present.
