II PUC exam: Students to get 42-page booklet, no extra sheets

Mysuru: “From this year onwards, a 42-page answer booklet will be given to students appearing for II PUC examination,” disclosed DDPUE Dr. B.N. Nagarathna.

She was speaking after launching the College website at the 14th Annual Day of Vijaya Vittala PU College in Saraswathipuram  on Tuesday.

Dr. Nagarathna said that the students appearing for PU exam will not be given any additional sheets beyond the 42-page booklet from which no page should be torn.

She further said that the district has 250 PU Colleges and 30,000 students would appear for the II PU exam. The district stood 14th last year and it would improve this time as four preparatory exams have been held, she said and advised students to write the exam with confidence and without any apprehension.

The DDPUE asked the students to maintain good physical and mental health during exam with yoga and participating in sports. She appealed parents not to exert stress on their children to excel as it could have negative effects.

Senior Journalist Amshi Prasa-nnakumar, who inaugurated the Annual Day by lighting the lamp, appreciated the efforts of the institution in nurturing and imbibing values in students which is proven by many successful students emerging as shining stars in various academic and co-curricular activities. 

The students later presented a colourful cultural programme. 

On the occasion, academic toppers of the previous year and other talented students in the field of music, literature and sports were felicitated.
