My gentle suggestion to all the commentators of SOM who think India is a pathetic nation. If possible please attend this program and you can present your questions. Let the readers get an opportunity of how a knowledgeable person handles these questions.

    Hello Prakash
This Sai Deepak is no Nanabhoy Palkhivala, arguablyt the best lawyer that India has in modern times.
As for your assertion about India, if you have eyes and brains read the predominant corruption in politics, institutions and the society, recently about the 40% commission demanded from contractors in Karnataka by the politicians, one could easily conclude that India is a pathetically corrupt nation, of which there will be no doubt.
This Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar Foundation, presumably set up by his wife, Pramoda Devi, to glorify her husband, who Mysoreans in 1960s knew as a serial philanderer and notorious womaniser ( for example he had shall we say relationships both the wife of a hotel owner in the VV Market, the hotel known for its masala and set dosas, and his sister-in-law, both buxom women, a scandal known in the VV market circles), not worthy of any accolade. Interesting that he died without children ( why?), in Bangalore ( why?).
No need for your suggestion of any thing more, as every Indian knows how corrupt India is.

Correction: This Sai Deepak is no Nanabhoy Palkhivala, arguably the best lawyer that India had in modern times.

  4. Questo says:

Just to elaborate: Nanabhoy Palkhivala in his tenure as Indian ambassador to the US:1977-79, gave superb series of lectures in the US, which covered all aspects of Indian constitution, its relationship to Pakistan and the world, and no one since or before him, had surpassed this brilliance. Sai Deepak is no Nanabhoy Palkhivala

A date correction after checking: Mysoreans in early 1970s knew as a serial philanderer…

Nice try Pramoda Devi, to present your late husband as a respected Wadiyar deserving a memorial foundation!
If only those, who knew his adulterous activities in 1970s in Mysore Whizzing through a motor bike, and in cars, looking for shall we say short time companions in those days, was so well known.
