Investiture Ceremony; Inauguration of Literary and Cultural Association

Mysore/Mysuru: The Investiture Ceremony and the inauguration of the Literary and Cultural Association (LCA) was held at the Christ College in city recently.

Praveen Krupakar, Indian Film Director and the National Award Winner for 2021, for the Kannada feature film ‘Taledanda’ and Rahul S. Rao, Professional Dancer, National & International Sports Aerobics and Hip Hop Gold Medallist, were the guests of honour. The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries — Praveen Krupakar, Rahul Rao, Principal Rev. Fr. P.D. Biju and LCA Committee Coordinator Irish Mercy.

Praveen Krupakar declared the LCA Committee open for the academic year 2022-23.

Both the guests, along with the other dignitaries and faculty members, badged the Class Representatives of all the Departments and the Student Coordinators of various Committees like LCA, Media, Sports, Eco Club, CSF, etc.

During the inaugural address, Praveen Krupakar inspired the students to be involved in Cultural, Sports and other activities along with the academics which would help in the overall development of the students.

Rahul Rao shared his experience, struggles and challenges that he faced and boosted the students. He proudly acknowledged the sacrifices and struggles of his brother for which he could see success in the field of dance, sports, aerobics and kickboxing.

Rahul gave a mesmerising dance performance on the request of the students and enthralled the audience.

Rev. Fr. P.D. Biju administered oath and congratulated the Student Council Members and the Coordinators. During his Presidential address, he insisted the students on fulfilling their role and responsibilities as Student Council Members and Coordinators of various Committees.

Rev. Fr. P.D. Biju, Principal, Rev. Fr. Jinto Jose, Administrator, Irish Mercy, Co-ordinator of the LCA Committee, felicitated the guests Praveen Krupakar and Rahul Rao.

Rev. Fr. Binu Joseph, Course Coordinators of various Departments, faculty members and students were present.
