ITI students stage dharna against online exam

January 2, 2020

Mysuru:  Opposing the Government’s decision to introduce online exam for ITI courses and imposition of GST on exam fees, over a hundred ITI (Industrial Training Institute) students under the banner of All India Democratic Youth Organisation (AIDYO), staged a demonstration near the Deputy Commissioner’s Office here this morning.

Terming the online exam as unrealistic and unscientific, the students urged the Government to cancel the online system of exam. Strongly opposing the hike in exam fee, the students claimed that the imposition of GST, coupled with hike in fee, will burden the students. They demanded immediate roll back of the fee hike and abolition of GST on fees.

AIDYO leader Suma and others took part in the dharna.
