JSS Dental College and Hospital celebrates Cons Endo Day-2022

Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, JSS Dental College & Hospital, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, celebrated Cons Endo Day-2022 in city recently.

The Indian Association of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics (IACDE), commemorates 5th March as the National Cons Endo Day. A week-long programme was organised by the Department under the banner of IACDE with programmes covering various activities.

The celebrations commenced with a screening camp organised at Government School for the Visually Impaired where around 25 students, 10 teaching and non-teaching staff were screened by a team comprising 10 Post-Graduate students under the guidance of Dr. B.M. Annapoorna, Professor & Head of the Department. The students were educated about maintaining good oral hygiene and its importance.

Various literary and cultural events were organised for Undergraduate & Postgraduate students and faculty as part of Cons Endo Day celebrations which included Essay Writing, Collage Making, Rangoli, Quiz, E-Poster & Mind Mapping. A Webinar on “Clinical tricks & tips for Thermoplasticised Obturation” by Dr. Ankush Jasrotia, Senior Endodontist practicing in Jammu & Kashmir was also organised.

 Cons Endo Week celebration concluded on Mar. 12 with a webinar on “Inner Happiness: Professional & Personal Quest” by Dr. M. Kishor, Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry, JSS Medical College & Hospital. More than 100 students and faculty attended the webinar which was followed by a valedictory programme. Dr. S. Ravindra, Principal, JSS Dental College & Hospital, addressed the gathering.

M. Vishnu, IRS, Deputy Commissioner, Income Tax, Mysuru Region, who  was the chief guest and Dr. Surinder Singh, Vice Chancellor, addressed the gathering.

Dr. B.R. Chandrashekar, Vice-Principal, Dr. T.S. Ashwini, Organising Secretary, were present.

Second & Final Year UG & First year PG Toppers in the Subject of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics were awarded certificates of appreciation.
