Juloose Ghousia procession in city

Mysuru, Oct. 8 (KS)- Juloose Ghousia procession, organised by Hafeez Ulla Shariff Khadri, Convenor of Sarkar Mehaboob Subhani Foundation at Lashkar Mohalla as part of Annual Sandal Urus Shariff of Sufi Saint Hazarath Shaik Abdul Khadar Jeelani Baghdad Shariff, was taken out in city recently.

The procession commenced after Zohar Salath (2.45 pm) in front of Masjid-e-Azam on Ashoka Road. Hazarath Moulana Fasiulla Warsi, Vice-Principal of Azam Arabic College, Masjid-e-Azam, performed Fatha Khawni, Darud Salam, Duwa (supplication), hoisted the flag and distributed Tabruk sweet.

Masjid-e-Azam Managing Committee Secretary S.M. Syed Shafeeq Razvi, Meena Bazar Merchants’ Association President Ilyas Baig Khadree, social worker Mirza Jamsheed Baig Ashrafi, Hon. Imam of Eidgah Masjid Hazarath Hafiz Tabraiz Raza, Ahmed Pasha Khadree Khadim of Darga Hazarath Saifuddin Sha Khadree, Hafiz Amanulla Warsi Mubleeqin Dawath Islami, Syed Jameel Khadree, Tabraiz Khushali, Imam of Masjid-e-Azam Hafiz Mohammed Salman and others were present.

The procession, along with Arabic Madries from various parts of city and devotees, passed through Sawday Road, Dr. Zakir Hussain Circle (Mission Hospital Circle), Eidgah Masjid Road, Pulikeshi Road and stopped at Muslim Burial Grounds where tributes were paid for departed souls.

The procession continued through K.T. Street, Sunni Chowk, K.R. Park Road, St. Philomena’s Church Circle, Sultan Sait Block and culminated at Masjid-e-Azam premises.

Programme Convener Hafeezulla Shariff felicitated Ilyas Baig Khadree, with a shawl and garland. Ghousia Tabruk was arranged before and after the procession.
