Mysore/Mysuru: St. Joseph’s College of Education, Jayalakshmipuram, managed by Mysore Diocesan Educational Society (MDES), will host ‘Kalasrushti 2026, a State-level Inter-Collegiate Cultural and Literary Fest for teacher trainees of B.Ed. Colleges, on Mar. 13 at its campus in Mysuru.
The objective is to provide a platform for trainee teachers from various colleges across the State to showcase their literary, artistic and cultural talents.
The fest will feature several individual and group competitions, including Poetry Writing (Kavyarachane), Short Story Writing (Kathalikhit), Elocution (VoxPopuli), Rangoli, Solo Dance (Natyavismaya), Solo Song (Swaranjali), Group Dance (Nrithyanjali) and Group Song (Harmonic Echo).
Literary competitions will be conducted in both Kannada and English languages.
Abdul Rasheed, Story Writer and former Assistant Director, Akashvani, Mysuru, will be the chief guest for the valedictory programme.
Rev. Fr. Edward William Saldanha, Secretary and Correspondent of MDES, Rev. Fr. Naveen Kumar, Treasurer of MDES, Seby Mavely, CEO – Training & Development of MDES, will also be present, according to a press release from Dr. Priya Mathew, Principal of St. Joseph’s College of Education, Mysuru.
