Stating that violation of the Act is a serious offence, ACP Shashidhar said that the owners of commercial establishments should ensure that the CCTV footage is stored for a minimum of six months. Cameras have to be installed in such a way that it covers the approach areas at the entry and exit points and also the entry and exit points of parking lots.
