Mysuru: Spandana Samskruthika Parishat had organized a programme at Maneyangala in Kalamandira premises here recently to release the book ‘Suli’ written by Dr.B. Nanjundaswamy Haradanahalli,  Assistant Professor, Government Women’s College, Hunsur.

Kuvempu Institute of Kannada Studies (KIKS) Director Dr. Nilagiri M. Talwar released the book.

Inaugurating the programme, MCDCC Bank Director G.D. Harish Gowda lauded the author of the book in contributing to the field of art and literature when teaching faculty were confined only to classroom lectures claiming no time to spare for literary sector. He asked the people not to give up the habit of reading books despite the advent of modernity.

Dr. Madhuvana Shankar, Director, Hemagangothri PG Centre, Hassan was felicitated on the occasion.

Parishat President T. Satish Javaregowda, KSOU Assistant Professor Dr.P. Mani, author Dr.B. Nanjundaswamy Haradanahalli, Parishat Hunsur Taluk President T. Lokesh and others were present.
