Mysore/Mysuru: Kodava Samaja celebrated the annual ‘Kailpoldh’ festival at its premises in Vijayanagar here this morning.

The day-long programme began with the traditional Ayudha Puja to the weapons.

MLC Mandepanda Suja Kushalappa, who was the chief guest, was felicitated by the Samaja.

Various scholarships were distributed to meritorious Kodava students on the occasion.

Mechanda M. Shashi Ponnappa, Samaja President, presided. Malachira M. Ponnappa, Vice-President, Mukkatira B. Jeevan, Hon. Secretary,  Appanderanda Tara Somaiah, Joint Secretary, Machimada P. Nanaiah, Hon. Treasurer, Kuttimada D. Muthappa, President, Kodava Samaja Cultural and Sports Club, former Presidents of the Samaja and a large number of community members attended the function.
