Mysore/Mysuru: Konkani Christian Association, Mysuru, is celebrating “Konkani Manyata Divas” at Konkan Bhavan in Vijayanagar on Aug. 20 (Sunday) at 4 pm in commemoration of inclusion of Konkani Language in the Eighth Schedule of  Indian Constitution on Aug. 20, 1992.

Walter Nandalike, Managing Director of Daijiworld, Mangaluru, will be the chief guest. On the occasion, the Association will honour dignitaries who worked for the unity of Konkani people and uplifting Konkani language in Mysuru.

This will be followed by a cultural programme in Konkani by Association members, according to a press release from

John William D’Souza, President of the Association.
