Bengaluru: Mysore Warriors women clinched an eight-wicket victory against Mangaluru Dragons in the ongoing Maharani Trophy KSCA T20 at the KSCA Cricket Ground in Alur, here yesterday.
Mysore Warriors, who won the toss and elected to bowl, restricted Mangaluru Dragons to 97/5 in 11 overs.
Ahlam Syed and Sahana Pawar, were instrumental in restricting the Dragons, picking two wickets each.
In reply, magnificent performance from captain Shubha Satheesh, who scored a brilliant 47 runs off just 32 balls, Mysore Warriors reached the target with ease. Shubha’s innings, which included 7 fours and 1 six, anchored the chase. She was well-supported by Rachitha Hatwar, who contributed a rapid 39 runs from 24 balls, including 3 fours and 2 sixes. The Warriors finished the game at 98 for 2 in just 10.3 overs, sealing a convincing victory. Shubha Satheesh was awarded with Orange Cap for the outstanding performance.
Mysore Warriors will face Bengaluru Blasters in their next match scheduled today.
