L. Mallappa (Swamy), Manager of Sangam Theatre in city and a resident of Vidyaranyapuram, passed away at a private hospital in city yesterday due to age related ailments. He was 78. He leaves behind two daughters, four sons and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were performed at his native village Ankanalli near Bilikere here last evening.
