Leadership Session with combat couple Dr. Seema Rao and Maj. Deepak Rao this evening

Mysuru: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)-Young Indians (Yi), Mysuru in association with Namma Mysuru Foundation and B.N. Bahadur Institute of Management Sciences, have organised a Leadership Session with the Combat Couple from Mumbai — Dr. Seema Rao and Major Deepak Rao — today between 5 pm and 6.30 pm at Rani Bahadur Auditorium in Manasagangothri.

Profile: Dr. Seema Rao, known as India’s Wonder Woman and India’s first Woman Commando trainer, is involved in training various Indian forces. Her work was partnered by Major Deepak Rao, who received Presidential rank honour from the Indian President for pioneering close quarter battle training for Indian Army.

Dr. Seema Rao has trained 15,000 commandos from almost every elite Indian Force for 20 years without compensation winning 3 Army Chief citations. A Ph.D degree holder from Indiana USA, she is a Doctor, Author, Deep Sea diver, Skydiver, Rifle Shooter, Beauty Pageant winner, 7th deg Blackbelt, Fire-fighter, Mountaineer, Filmmaker and TEDX speaker. She received World Peace Award in 2008.

Major Deepak Rao, who helped modernise Commando Training, too has trained 15,000 Commandos for 20 years without fee. He has trained Army Para SF NSG Navy-Marcos IAF-Garud BSF ITBP ATS and ATS of 15 States. He too has received World Peace Award.

The Leadership Session intends to provide strategies to handle the formidable challenges associated with moving into new and increasingly more complex leadership roles.
